SEVEN STEPS TO THE HIGHEST GOD KIND OF FAITH (PART 4). God Himself, in the person of the Holy Spirit, dwells within the believer. Too often those who have been filled with the Holy Spirit think they have received simply a wonderful blessing, or some kind of rich spiritual experience. The miss the teachings of the Word of God entirely. (1 John 4:4) says, ". . . Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." The infilling of the Holy Spirit means that He -- the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us. Jesus said, "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER" (John 14:16). Therefore, the seventh -- and an extremely vital -- step in our search for the highest god kind of faith is to realize that our body is the temple of God. God Himself, in the person of the Holy Spirit, dwells within us ! STEP 7 --- THE REALITY OF THE INDWELLING SPIRIT: in Old Testament times, God's earthly dwelling place was the tabernacle, or Temple. But since Christ Jesus died on the cross, rose again, and return to heaven, sending the Holy Spirit upon an into the believers on the Day of Pentecost, He God Jehovah no longer dwells in a man- made Holy of Holies. Our bodies have become His temple ! (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). "What ? No you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own ! For you are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." (2 Corinthians 6:16). ". . . For you are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be there God, and they shall be my people." In every crisis of life, we should instinctively say, "I am a conqueror. I am more than a victor, for the Creator dwells in me. The Greater One lives in. He can put me over. He can make me a success. I cannot fail ! Again, this is not bragging on myself. It is bragging on the One who is in me or you. Too often, however, spirit filled believers cringe before the trials of life, and needlessly allow the devil to defeat them. Through self deception ! Or because there is no assurance of the Word of God. They run around crying on one another's shoulder, saying pray for me, praying pitiful, weak little prayers, wondering why victory doesn't come. Yet all the time help is present --- because the Holy Spirit is inside them ready to help them ! When you pray in the open you have your reward. (Matthew 6:5). "Also when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the Synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by people. Truly I tell you, they have their reward in full already." The amplified Bible. Verse 6, But when you pray, go into your most private room, and, close the door, pray to your Father, who is in secret; and your Father, Who sees in secret, will reward you in the open. Verse 7, And when you pray, do not he of phrases multiple words, repeating the same ones over and over as the Gentiles do, for they think they will be heard for their much speaking." I suggest that (1 Kings 18:25--29), be read ! Verse number 8, Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him."
