SEVEN STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER (PART 2) STEP 6: MEDITATE ON THE PROMISES; (Proverbs 4:20-22). "My son, attend to my Words; consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your site; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh." Meditate constantly on the promises on which you base your answer to prayer. See yourself in possession of what you have asked from God, remember, the Word of God is the answer to your prayers: because it is the will of God for our lives ! And make plans as if it already were a reality. God will make His Word good if you will act on it. God's Word says He hears an answers prayer. (James 5:16). ". . . The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in it's working]" The amplified Bible. If the Word doesn't depart from before your eyes, you are sure to see yourself with the things you asked for. If you don't see yourself with them, God's Word has departed from before your eyes. If you don't stand by the Word, God can't stand by you, even though He wants to. The only way God works is through His Word. He moves in line with His Word. I know that many of you have been taught different and you're probably thinking in line of what you have been taught. But God has magnified His Word above His Name ! If you stand by the Word, God will stand by you. Many people pray and pray, but they don't pray according to the Word. (John 15:7). Says, "If You Live in Me [abide virtually united to Me] and My Words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you." The amplified Bible. Jesus didn't just say, "if you abide in me" he added, "and My Words abide in you." Or "My Words live in you." With His Words abiding in us, we have a solid foundation. Now, here is the counterpart of the same principle in which God expects us to operate in prayer. (Joshua 1:1 through 8). "After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, the Lord said to Joshua Son of Nun, Moses minister, my servant is dead. So now arise [take his place], go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land which I am giving to them, the Israelites. Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, then have I given to you, as I promised Moses. Verse 5 no man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you or forsake you. Verse 6. Be strong (confident) and of good courage, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Verse 7. Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses my servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you made prosper whereever you go. Verse 8. This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." The amplified Bible.
