SEVEN STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER (PART 2). THINKING FAITH THOUGHTS AND SPEAKING FAITH WORDS LEAD THE HEART OUT OF DEFEAT INTO VICTORY: (Proverbs 4:20-22). "My son, attend to my word; incline thine ear unto my saying. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." The previous lesson covered four steps to take to see our prayers answered: (1). Decide what you want from God. Be specific in starting your petition. (2). Read scriptures that promise the answer out loud for your need. Search the Bible for scriptures that apply to your need. Plant God's Word which is seed firmly in your heart so you will be prepared against Satan's attacks. (3). Ask God for the things you want. Make your wants known to God. Even though He knows what you need, it is His divine plan that we make our wants known to Him. (Philippians 4:6). (4). Believe that you receive. Develop a stubborn faith that refuses to look at situations or circumstances --- a faith that produces results. In this lesson we will deal with three more steps to take to pray more effectively. STEP 5: REFUSE TO DOUBT GOD'S WORD: Let every thought and desire affirmed that you have what you ask based upon the Scriptures that you have found from the Holy Bible. Never permit a mental picture of failure to remain in your mind. Never doubt for one minute that you have the answer. Because the Word of God is your answer to effective prayer ! If doubt persist, rebuke them, by telling them to leave in Jesus name. Get your mind on the answer, which is the Word of God. (James 4:7). Says, ". . . Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Doubt is of the devil. So is fear. Resist it. Eradicate every image, suggestion, feeling, or thought that does not contribute to your faith. Concentrate on things that contribute to your confession for what you need from God. I personally had to hold fast to the confession of my faith for six whole years that I would gain a certain financial status, the enemy threw everything he knew at me through images of failure, through other people's word, but I held fast to the confession of my fate of what I believe and it came to pass. The confession was, that these people will give me my money ! For six years I kept saying the same thing every time doubt would try to persist, I said it more boldly. The particular scripture text I stood on is (Mark 11:22-23-24). "And Jesus answering, saith unto them, Have faith in God. For that I say unto you, whosoever shall Say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore, I say unto you, whatever things you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." You must be developed enough in the Word of God for it to work for you ! My faith and confidence in God's Word gave way to victory in my life hallelujah, I think God for His Word it is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.
