RIGHT AND WRONG CONFESSION: Few of us are like the deal old sister who stood in what you call church to testify, "The devil has been after me all week, bless his holy name." Yet many of our testimonies do more to witness to the supremacy of Satan in our lives than to Christ Jesus dominion ! When we testify to what God has done for us, or through us we glorify Him; by the same token, when we talk about what the devil and the world is doing, and we list our failures and defeats, we glorify the devil. You have to remember that Satan is called the god of this world; and the people that has his nature are only doing and saying what the world is saying and doing ! Many people lose the blessing that God has for them just by making a wrong confession. They are defeated, and life becomes a grind to them. Actually, a confession that glorifies the devil is an unconscious the declaration that God is a failure ! Such a confession destroys our faith and holds us in bondage. The confession of Satan's ability to hinder and keep us from success gives him dominion over you. Therefore, with your mouth you either give God our Satan dominion over you. The confession of our lips that has grown out of faith in your heart will absolutely defeat the devil in every combat. Jesus, gave us the example in (Matthew 4:4-11). When we are saved, we confess the Lordship of Jesus. He begins to have dominion over us and ruled in our lives. But when we confess Satan's ability to hinder and keep us from success --- even though we may be believers or Christians --- we are given Satan dominion over us. He is the god of this world, and he will move right in. Because we permitted him to do so. You are taken by the words of your mouth you are snared with the words of your mouth. (Proverbs 6:2). Even though it may be a permission of ignorance or an unconscious consent, it is nevertheless consent. And when Satan has dominion are authority over you, you are filled with weakness and fear. OVERCOMING FEAR AND DOUBT : (2 Timothy 1:7). "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Even though we sometimes may feel afraid in the natural, we never should confess fear. Fear is not of God. The above Scripture says that it is a spirit ! And that God has not given us a spirit of fear, "but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Fear is not something that comes from inside you. It is something that comes from outside, trying to get hold of you. It is from the enemy. We should not confess fear; rather, we should confess power, which is the spirit ! Love, which is a spirit ! And a sound mind which is a spirit ! The same thing is true of doubt. Don't confess your doubts. This is not to say that you should not admit doubt if you have them. Just don't say anything about them. Doubt is of the devil. Doubt is contraband goods. Doubt is evil. The Christian all believer has no business talking about doubt, because it doesn't belong to him or her. Many people think they are being honest when they confess that they doubt. You may have been tempted to doubt, but you can put the devil on the Ron by resisting him. So don't confess doubt; confess faith, that is the God kind of faith which is the Word of God. Start talking about who you are and what you are in Christ. If you don't know I suggest that you get your Bible and dust it off and start spinning time in it, rather than spending time in your TV evangelist or your TV preacher. You are a believer. You are a new creature. Talk that; believe that; think that. And if you are tempted -- and none of us is above temptation --- "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7). Well you might ask how do you do that preacher ! (Matthew 4:4--11) tells us how ! Refuse in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to doubt, and it will leave you.
