PROVED THROUGH PERSONAL EXPERIENCE: You see, you never believe for the possible; you believe for the impossible. Thank God, we are not under the curse, because Jesus has set us free ! For sickness I have health, for poverty wealth, since Jesus has ransomed me. SEVEN STEPS TO THE HIGHTEST GOD KIND OF FAITH: (Part 1). It is by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony that we overcome Satan and the world, we are delivered from the power of darkness, and we are translated into the kingdom of His dear Son. I have a twofold purpose in mind in this series of lessons on faith. We already have covered most of these next points in some form or another, but I want to bring them together so you can check up on the progress you are making. If you have studied these faith lessons and they have taken hold in your life, the devil is going to contest you just as he did me. The Lord wants you to be prepared for the future, and through the power of God's Word you can be ready for any emergency that may arise. STEP 1 --- THE INTEGRITY OF THE WORD OF GOD: The first thing you need to know is that the Word of God is actually what it declares itself to be. It is a revelation from God to us, God did not hide these trues from us but to us. It is God speaking to us now. Not only is it a book of the past and a book of the future; it also is a book of now. This book is a God-breathed, God-indwelt, and God-inspired message. "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart" (Hebrews 4:12). The amplified Bible translation of this verse reads, "For the word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any to a sword, penetrating to the dividing line of breath of life [soul] and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing and shifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart." The Word of God is a living person. But it will only come alive to you as you accept it and act upon it. And that person is the Lord Jesus Christ ! So we see that the first step towards the highest God kind of faith is to accept and understand the integrity of God's Word. The Word is of foremost importance. Some people think God hasn't spoken to them unless they have a message in tongues or prophecy. But the Word of God is God speaking to us. The gifts of prophecy, tongues, and interpretation of tongues do not supersede the Word. The Word comes first ! These inspirational vocal gifts are given to us to inspire us in line with the Word of God, but if they say something apart from the Word of God, it is not the Holy Spirit speaking; that person is just speaking from his or her own thinking. You always must judge these things in the light of God's Word. Also, there are those who try to read certain things into the word because they want it to say what they believe. They are trying to fit the word to their beliefs rather than fitting their beliefs to the Word of God. Some people try to overlook certain passages or explain them away. But you must accept the Word for what it says and walk in the light of it. You must believe what the Word of God says, not what you think it says. As you begin to study the Word of God in this light, accepting it as it is, you will be amazed to learn that some of the things you always have heard and believed are not in the Word at all. You will wonder why you believe some things the way you did, it is because you have highly developed your self in your deception. I found this true in my own experience. As I wrestle with organized religion vs right relationship with God. Studying the Bible, I saw in it truths of faith and healing. These were new to me, because many so-called churches didn't teach or don't teach about healing our how God is interested in the whole man. But the more I study God's Word, the more I saw it was true. And regardless of organize religion or what you would call church teaching, I determined I was going to walk in the light of God's Word, because I believe that this Word is God speaking to today. Not just one day of the week or even two days out of the week. When I made this commitment the biggest part of the battle was won. To actually believe God's Word, I had to go against not only the organize religion and teachings of what you call church but of my family as well. It is amazing how we can become more building--minded than Bible--minded. And sometimes ourI love ones thinking they have our best interests at heart, will oppose us from walking in the fullnest light of God's Word. Nevertheless, I determined to follow The Word of God, knowing that this is God speaking to me today.
