PRAISE, A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE EARLY CHURCH !

PRAISE, A CHARACTERISTIC OF THE EARLY CHURCH: A true spirit of praise and rejoicing was a characteristic of the early church as should be the body of believers today. (Luke 24:50-53). "And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it came to pass, while he blessed, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven. And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and were constantly in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen." After the disciples watched Jesus returned to heaven, they went back to Jerusalem with hearts filled with praise and thanksgiving to God. Then we read about them in (Acts 2:46-47): "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church they such as should be saved." Notice the expression, "They, continuing DAILY with one accord. . . Eat their meat with gladness. . . Praising God. . ." They did not just have services on a Sunday or a Saturday. The Scripture says they did this DAILY. With these early Believers, this wasn't a sqasmodic occurrence -- something that happened once in a great while our something that just happens once a week. The Bible uses the words "continually" and "daily." Too many believers today get "prayed through" about every six months and have a time of praising and blessing God. If we were writing about their experience, we will have two use the words "occasionally" or perhaps even "semi-annually. But the Bible Records That the Early Believers "were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. There has been and is a false Christianity that has been passed down to the people from generation to generation, a false sense of worship and pray many people only go to what they call church on it on Sunday which is an act of sun worship it was an act of the Egyptian to worship the sun god ! We have many pagan mystic ideas on how to worship and praise God today. This is why you do not see in your services people asking what must they do to be saved or demons coming out of people as people are delivered from the power of the devil, because the gospel of Jesus Christ is not being preached. If we want to see the same manifestation of power the early church had, we are going to have to see the same manifestations of true praise and worship they had ! The Holy Spirit said the traditions of men has made the Word of God of not effect in the lives of humanity. God and His Word is one Jesus is the Word (John 1:1-4). The Holy Spirit and the Word is one: and it is time for you who say you believe to go to the Word for it is the power of God unto deliverance, unto soundness, unto preservation, unto healing. "And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy: and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen." (Luke 24:52-53).
