HOW TO TRAIN THE HUMAN SPIRIT THE CONCLUSION: RULE 4: INSTANTLY OBEYING THE VOICE OF YOUR SPIRIT ! The human spirit has a voice. So does the human flesh ! We call those voices conscience. Sometimes we call it intuition, or we call it an inner voice or guidance. It is our spirit talking to us or the voice of the flesh it depends on which one you feed the most. Every man's spirit has a voice just as every woman spirit has a voice, whether he or she is saved or unsaved. But the New Birth is a rebirth of the human spirit, not his or her mind. Your spirit gets its information as you meditate upon the Word or upon the World. Learn to obey your spirit. Your spirit has the life and nature of God in it, not your flesh ! Because the Holy Spirit dwells within you, not your flesh. The devil can't be giving you the information, because he is not in you; he is on the outside of you in your flesh. Your carnal nature ! God has to communicate with you through your spirit, not through your mind ! Because that is where he is in your spirit you ! He isn't in your head. He isn't in your reasoning faculties. He is in your spirit. Your spirit gets its information through Him. Learn to obey your spirit, not your flesh. Some people say that conscience is not a safe guide, but this isn't always true. The conscience is a saved God in the spirit filled believer because God is dwelling within that believer. The believer's conscience, the voice of his spirit, because the voice of God. And I might add you cannot serve God with an evil conscience ! God is speaking to him or her. Paul said he obeyed his conscience (Acts 23:1). "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord. . ." (Proverbs 20:27). God will use your spirit to guide you. He will use it to enlighten you. As your spirit meditates and fees upon the Word, it becomes a safe guide. It is trained in the Word. The counterpart to this is when meditate upon the Word, then Satan has free reign to cause you to be fleshly rule and controlled by the enemy of all humanity. The Holy Spirit does speak a little differently to those of us who have certain ministry gifts. As a rule in the lives of believers, the Inwood voice is the voice of the human spirit speaking not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit often speaks to me about others, but I never hear Him for my own benefit. Why ? Because a prophet's ministry isn't given for his benefit; it's given for the benefit of others. I have to receive guidance for myself just as does any other believer: through the inward voice. As we learn to obey the voice of our spirit, we will come to the place where we know what we should do in all phases of life. The Lord will guide us. "In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths" (Proverbs 3:6)
