GOD'S DESIRE FOR MAN'S PRAISE !: God made man so He would have someone to have fellowship with. He may mean for His own pleasure. It is true that God is concerned about us and wants to meet our every need, but even more than that, he wants our love, worship, and fellowship. Even so, the enemy of all humanity wants the same devotions, your love for the world, your lust for other things, and the pride of life. We are born of God ! When we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. At that moment of exception the power of the devil is broken over one's life. We are born of God. He is our Father. The same is true of the devil because of the old nature that every human being comes into this world with ! No earthly parents ever enjoy the fellowship of his or her children more than God enjoys the fellowship of his sons and daughters. In one revival meeting be held I decided to do something different after about six weeks of meeting, I announced to the congregation one night, "Let's have some different kind of services. For three nights of these remaining two weeks, I want us to come together to minister to the Lord." I explained, "I may read from the Word a little and make a few comments, but I am not going to do any preaching or teaching. We are not going to petition God to do anything. We are coming as a group to wait on the Lord -- to minister to Him and to worship Him. If you don't want to pray this way, do not come on these particular nights." I added, "I don't want us to come and wait on Him for just 10 minutes. I want us to come with the thought in mind that we will wait at least an hour in prayer, and perhaps longer. We will minister to the Lord, praise Him, tell Him how much we love Him, and thank him for His goodness and mercy." One might have expected the crowds to have fallen off on those nights, but they did. Just as many people came to praise and worship the Lord as came on the other nights. I found that the people wanted to wait on God. And in that kind of atmosphere, God ministered to us in unusual way. The Shekinah glory of God appear and I am convinced that we missed out on many blessings because you don't take time to get into the right attitude of worship and praise and to minister to the Lord. No I'm not talking about some man-made program like two or three solos from a member of the congregation or even some praise dancers. No smoke or lights just simply waiting on the Lord in prayer and praise waiting on the Lord as I said the Shekinah glory of God shoulder and there was some extraordinary miracles and things that took place in that service that night.
