CONFESSING GOD'S WORD: instead of confessing doubts and fears, confess what God's Word says. God said, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee . . ." (Isaiah 41:10). Therefore, you can say, "I am not afraid. I am a child of God, and He is with me. He has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. I am not a doubter; I am a believer." Stop talking the devils language and the worlds language of doubt and fear. Start talking God's language of faith. God is a God of faith. We are children of the God kind of faith. In one of the meetings a woman told me about her sister, who was in a mental institution. She said, "She is not too bad, but she does need institutional care. She understands what is said to her. Occasionally I can bring her home for two-weeks periods. I am going to bring her home now so she can attend these meetings. I believe they will help her." I never pray for the sick woman doing those two weeks, but she was in every service. Just from hearing the Word, her mind became clear and she never had to return to the institution. The doctors released her, given her a clean bill of health. In the past she had been confessing defeat, fear, and doubt until they had become a part of her. But as she listened to the Word preached, she saw where she had missed it. She begin to confess the right thing, and she was healed. Seeing the remarkable recovery of this woman, another woman in the congregation was inspired to bring her neighbor, who was about to be admitted to the state mental hospital. Neither the woman nor her husband was a believer, but he consented to let her attend our services with her neighbor. Within a week the woman had been saved, healed, filled with the Holy Spirit, and she never did go to the mental hospital. People can become sick mentally as well as physically, and God can heal mental illness as well as He can physical illness. We must recognize that God has not given us a spirit of fear. We must learn to stand against the enemy. And Jesus gave us our example in (Matthew 4:2-11). Remember, confession of fear gives fear dominion over you. Your fears become stronger and you, more into the bondage of the enemy. But if you confess your Father's care, confess His protection, confess His Word, confess that what God says about you is true, confess that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. You will rise above satanic influence every time. When you confess your doubts and fears, your weaknesses and diseases, you are openly confessing that the word of God is not true and that God has failed to make it good. God has said, "For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and return not there, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sword, and bread to the eater, so shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth; it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I plead, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:10--11). You must give voice to The Word of God ! His Words declare that by His stripes you were healed. (1 Peter 2:24). "Who his own self bare our sins in his body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes you were healed." (Matthew 8:17). "That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying Himself took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses." If instead of confessing that Jesus "took our infirmities, and bore our sicknesses," we declare that we still have them, we will remain sick; and all the praying in the world will not help you ! But when we start confessing that He already has done something about our sicknesses, we will receive healing. Too often we excel the testimony of our physician senses instead of the testimony of God's Word. We must practice God's Word for it to work for us ! In other words, you must get the Word of God in your mouth and in your heart and abundance; Which is the Word of faith ! (Romans 10:8).
