THE SOURCE OF TRIALS AND TEMPTATIONS ! : "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil (Matthew 6:13). Most people believe that the Lord sends the trials, test, and temptations of life. Well, then why Jesus said to pray that you are not into temptation if the trials and temptations come from God ? If God knows everything and we know the Words says God has all knowledge, then I wonder why God would have to try and test us to find out what we would do in a certain situation. The word also says that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2). Now since Jesus has authorized our faith, God does not need to try it. He knows it will work. Your faith is based upon what you say; Satan is the one trying our faith ! Jesus said, "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil." Satan is the god of this world. What evil is He (Jesus) talking about ? The evil of trials and temptations. We can raise to a new level of faith when we realize that it is the thief that steals, kills, and destroy (John 10:10). It is Jesus who gaves life abundantly. When you draw the battle line, you will have 50% of the battle won. This will set you at liberty in your prayer life. You can use your plate seal to quench every fiery dart of the wicked one. But until you determine the course, you cannot use your faith. You can't believe the things will go away if God put it on you ! It may not be time for it to go away. The enemy suggests that God might be using this to perfect you. It sounds logical, but it is a stronghold of the devil the wicked one. Now let me refresh your memory in this area. In (Luke 8:22), Jesus said to the disciples, Let us go over unto the other side, then He fell asleep in the back of the ship. A storm of wind arose on the lake and waves were leaping into the boat. Notice this didn't take place until Jesus said let us go over to the other side. The disciples begin to say, Master, we perish. Jesus arose and rebuked the wind and the sea. Then He asked them, "Where is your faith ?" Evidently it was in that they saw and heard ! Was that storm seal of God to try their faith ? No. That storm was designed by Satan to get the Word out of them: that said "Let us go unto the other side" and it worked very well. (Mark 4:15). They told Jesus what the devil said. The devil had told them that they would all drown. But Jesus said, "We are going to the other side." His words did not abide in them ! In (1 John 3:8), we find that Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil. If the storm was of God, then Jesus destroy the work of His Father. No, Jesus came to undo everything that Satan was doing. Jesus rebuked the wind because the storm had been caused by Satan. He has preserved nature and use the the atmosphere to brain floods, storms, and tornadoes. But headlines news proclaimed, God visited our city last night with a tornado. No greater body has ever been told !THE
