REDEEMED THAT THE BLESSINGS MIGHT COME ! One of the problems with many religious people is that they try to do good things to merit favor with God. Because that is what the old covenant teaches that when you do good God will do good to you ! But we are not under the law: we are living under grace, not the Law. If you try to do good works to build up credit with God, The Word says you put yourself under the curse of the Law. "For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse" (Galatians 3:10). We have today many religious groups that are telling people that they have to abide by the law of Moses. For instance observing the new moon, observing the festival of the feast of the tabernacle, not eating pork or shellfish. And many others ! To be under the curse of the law means to be subject to the curses, which are poverty, sickness, and spiritual death. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law that the blessings of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ (Galatians 3:13--15). I have a child of God and an heir with Jesus. Abraham's blessings are mine: The Word says he was blessed coming in and blessed going out, blessed in the city and blessed in the field. He was blessed all over more than anywhere else ! We need to realize that when we were redeemed from the curse of the Law, we were Not redeemed from the blessings. They belong to us who believe. If you have been born again truly, Abraham's blessings on your. Now, these blessings will not fall off on your life like RIPE peaches just because they are in the Word of God: you have to demand them from the enemy Satan. We are the redeemed--- not going to be some day, we are now ! Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy (Psalms 107:2) some might ask, "Why do we still get sick if we are redeemed from the curse of the Law ?" Let me ask you another question: Jesus redeemed the world from sin, didn't He ? Then why do folks still sin ? They are redeemed from sin, yet they go on sinning. It's because people choose to sin ! You see, you can do it if you want to. Just because we are redeemed from the curse of the Law doesn't mean that no one will ever sin or be sick again. Redemption is your, but you must walk in it with the Word of God in your mouth ! Paul said, "Sin shall not have dominion over you." It shouldn't have, but it is up to you. You must modify or change the deeds of your flesh. Just as the children of Israel had to go in and possess the land that God had given to them, we must use our authority to command sickness and sin to stay of our lives. We have been redeemed from the curse of the Law, but we must go in and process that which is already ours. Redemption is our land. "If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land" (Isaiah 1:19).
