FAITH IN AND THE PROMISE ! Let me say it again. This faith I am referring to has nothing at all to do with anything outside of what God has promised. Would it be wrong for us to believe God for the things that He gave us according to the Scripture, or the things that He promised us ? I believe it hurts the heart of God when His people do not take advantage of the provisions That He has made. He has made a way for us. It's through the God kind of faith. The apostle Paul says the only way that you can enter into the grace of God is through faith. (Ephesians 2:8-9). You can't be saved any way other than through faith in God and His Word. "For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, (not of works of the Mosaic law) lest any man should boast." You and I cannot in into some things unless you enter in through faith. Salvation is one of them. You can't be born again without believing the Word of God ! "You have been regenerated (born again), not from a mortal organ (seed, sperm), but from one that is inmmortal by the ever living and lasting Word of God." (1 Peter 1:23). The amplified Bible. Faith is the substance of salvation. Somebody said, "if God has given us all these things, then where are these things ? Why don't I have them ?" Well, in (2 Peter 1:3-4). It says, "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue; by which are given unto us exceeding the great and precious promises, That by the you might Be Partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." The Word of God declares, "by which are given unto us exceedingly great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature," "Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace [unmerited favor], to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendents--- not only to the devotees and adherents of the law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all. As it is written, I have made you the father of many nations. [He was appointed our father] in the sight of God in whom he believed, who deals life to the dead and speaks of the non-existent things that [He has foretold and promised] as if they [already] existed." (Romans 4:16-17) the amplified Bible. In other words, you and I have to talk like we already have it according to what is written ! Until it is manifested in our lives.
