WORD BECAME FLESH ! This is the key to understanding the virgin birth. God's Word is full of faith and Spirit power. In fact Jesus saith in (John 6:63). "It is the spirit that Quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." The apostle Paul said also in (Romans 1:16). "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." God The Word spoke it. God transmitted that image to Mary. She conceived and receive the image inside of her. She immediately begin to say what God said: "Be it unto me according to thy word." When she did, the angel Gabriel left: because she was in agreement with God. If it were some of us, we probably want to debate and question whether or not he's telling the truth. The embryo that was in Mary's womb was nothing more than the Word of God. That is why some people become confused about the virgin birth. They say it couldn't have happened. They look at it biologically. It was both biological and spiritual. She conceived and received the Word of God. Some people say, "I don't see how that could happen." The apostle Peter gives us some insight into this when he said: "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abided forever." I have sent this once and I will say it again: there is eternal life in the written Word of God ! Which liveth and abides for ever. (1 Peter 1:23). The word of God is a living I, incorruptible seed which permanently dwells and abides. In Genesis, chapter 3, God prophesied Satan's defeat. "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head. . ." (Genesis 3:15). We know and medical science knows the woman does not have a seed. The seed is carried by the male. The sperm is considered the seed. But God Said the Seed of the Woman. And God knew what He was talking about. What seed is He talking about the seed of the woman ? We know that Jesus is the seed referred to in Genesis 3:15. But Jesus was also the Word (John 1:1-3). He was the Word made manifest in flesh (John 1:14). So the seed of the woman referred to in Genesis 3:15 was the seed of the incorruptible Word of God. It is that incorruptible seed talked about in (1 Peter 1:23). And if you would get the incorruptible seed of the word of God in you it will manifest itself in your life. Mary conceived and receive the Word in her spirit. It manifested itself in her physical body. Now, this is where we must learn to be totally dependent upon God not upon our self efforts. "And the Word was made flesh, and worked among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." (John 1:14).
