THE SAME SPIRIT OF FAITH ! Faith in God comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God, whether you are hearing me, hearing the weather forecast or hearing what the devil says. Faith comes by hearing. Words spoken transfers a corresponding spirit. The apostle Paul said: "We haveing the same spirit of faith. . ." We have it now: not will we get to heaven or when we go to church. The Writer of Hebrews Says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1). If it is not now faith, it's not faith that all; it's not the God kind of faith. We having the same spirit of faith (2 Corinthians 4: 13). You can transfer the spirit of faith with words. That is one reason Jesus said, "The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life." Ladies and gentlemen brothers and sisters spirit life is resident in the Word of God. Jesus was transmitting the spirit of the faith and life that was in Him to you through the words He spoke. Then the apostle Paul continued in (Romans 8:2). "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death." That is why Jesus admonished the disciples, . . . Take heed what you hear. . . (Mark 4: 24). This is very important. People are to take heed to what they are hearing. You should not continually sit under teaching you know is error, and for the most part you should be listening to music that just talks about death drugs sex and alcohol; because that same spirit is being transmitted; even though you know it is wrong. It will eventually affect you. Some people say, "Well, you are to be as smart as an old cow. They eat the hay and spit out the sticks." Someone mentioned to me one time concerning music how they take a worldly song and add the words of God to it." That sounds good and there is some truth in that. But if you keep doing that you are still contaminating your spirit man: isn't that what the church sounds like an look like today. Some people are like horses. They don't know how to spit out the sticks of error. The spirit of error is transferred through words. If you continually sit under listing to music that is wrong and teaching that is filled with error, the spirit of error will be transmitted to you. "Take heed what you hear." Faith in God is the ability to conceive God's Word." It is spiritual conception. That ability is developed by hearing the word of God. When you first hear it, you don't necessarily receive it. If you have been raised in certain denominations, you may have been taught that healing went out with the apostles. You may have been taught that the baptism of the Holy Ghost and speaking in tongues are not for you today. Well, if you have been taught that way, then you will believe that way. When you heard that it was for you, your carnal mind kicks in it will not submit it itself to the law of God. It will take you a while to decide whether or not you were going to receive it. Faith had to come before you would conceive that Word, which is a seed of truth. Once the word is conceived in your spirit, it will eventually manifest itself in you.
