THE GOSPEL IS THE POWER OF GOD ! "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16). The apostle Paul said, "I am not ashamed of the gospel." The word gospel means "Good News." I have seen and heard people who were ashamed of the good new. The reason for their attitude was that the had heard someone who was arrogant. They taught in such a manner that people just didn't want to hear it. I have heard some people say, "I've heard all of this faith business I want to hear." If that have been your attitude, then you have heard all of the word of God that you want to hear, for God's Word is filled with the God kind of faith. If I teach God's Word, I will be teaching God's kind of faith. That isn't really what the critics meant. They meant they didn't like the attitude with which some people deliver the message of faith. Many people have been taught religiously that when they get to heaven, there will be no more sickness pain and suffering, as well as sorrow. If I'm going to reach people, I must reach them where they are in their thinking: because many precious people do not think the way the Bible says to think. And the message must be presented in a attitude of love. The same is true concerning prosperity, because of the ways it has been presented. I also know that the individuals who taught it didn't mean for it to sound that way; prosperity however, is not just about money. "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers." (3 John 1:2). The amplified Bible. My brothers and sisters: your body can't keep well because your thinking is all jacked up. There are other words your soul, which is the seat of the emotions; your will, as well as your intellect cannot prosper because you are putting garbage in your mind. It is written, that man shall not live by bread alone: but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The good news about Jesus and what he has done for humanity is the power of God that will set you free from the power of the world and the devil. But you have to do your part that is renew your mind with God's thoughts. It is written in (Proverbs 4: 20-21). "My son, attend to my words: consent and submit to my sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh." The amplified Bible.
