THE ABILITY OF GOD---AUTHORITY OF GOD ! Prayer and speaking is two of the means of releasing the ability and authority of God. God has power to do anything. He has the ability and authority to destroy the devil, but He can't do it now because of His Word. His Word is out there in the universe and He will not go against it. Because it is also written ! We keep the sayings of this book know what the end is going to be because the overall picture is in the Bible. Read the back of the book--- We Win ! The devil will be put in the pit for a thousand years, then loosed for a little time, and finally cast into the lake of fire. But until that time, God has done all He is going to do about the devil. It is our responsibility to take care of him. However, if you do not know what is written in the book; how are you going to do that ? You have dominion. You are to cast him out. God's Word gives us instructions on how to use our authority and the ability of God defeat Satan. If your particular denomination are not these things, then shame on them. "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Somebody asked how do you do that preacher ? "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). You and I are to use That Which Is Written in the Book ! "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion , walking about , seeking whom he may devour ; whom resist steadfast in the faith (1 Peter 5:8 -9). Jesus gave us an example on how to resist the devil while he was on the earth as the Son of Man. In (Matthew 4:3 through 11). "And when the tempter came to him (Jesus), he said, if thou be the son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Verse 4, But he answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God." When Satan comes against you, use the name of Jesus, which is the authority of God, and the word of God which is a part of that authority and ability Jesus gave us. God is not going to do it for you. The power of binding and loosening is not in heaven; it is on earth----and it is yours. Jesus gave believers authority and the ability to preach the gospel, healed the sick, cast out demons, and raise the day. The Angels can't preach the Gospel. In the 10th chapter of Acts when Cornelius prayed, God sent an angel to talk to him. In essence, this is what the angel said to him: "I can't preach the gospel to you, but I can tell you where there is a man who can't preach the gospel. He is staying with Simon the tanner by the seashore. Goal call for Peter. He will come preach the gospel to you and tell you what to do." Have you ever wondered why the Angels didn't preach the gospel to him ? Because, in this dispensation of time, they do not have that authority. The authority in this earth has been delivered to believers. We have the authority and ability, but we have been praying for God to do the things He has told us to do, such as heal the sick, cleanse the leper, cast out demons, and raise the dead. (Matthew 10:1-8). These things are as mountains before us, but God's ability and authority can perform them through us. Learn to release God's ability and authority by the words of your mouth.
