SOMETIMES NO ACTION IS CORRESPONDING ACTION ! Someone might say, "but the Bible said to just keep on praying about it with persistent faith." They always bring up the unjust judge and the man who went for bread at midnight. (Luke 18: Luke 11.) The "importunity" of the man who went for bread at midnight means persistence. But when you say persistence of faith, that's different than thin persistence in anything else. Persistent faith would be faith that ask for bread and stood there until the bread was received. Persistent faith is faith that believes it receives, and holds fast to that belief until the manifestation come. Persistent faith does not keep asking for the same thing. (If you believe you received, why would you ask again ?) That would be corresponding action to unbelief. Part of the corresponding action would be to quit praying about the things you believe you receive. That would be proper corresponding actions of persistent faith. Now remember we are talking only about the prayer of petition. Let me point out the difference between the prayer of petition and the prayer of intercession. In the prayer of petition, you ask God to do something for you. If you petition God scripturally. To do something for you with your faith based on the Word of God, then you only need to ask Him once. Then begin to praise God for it or begin to think God for it. Have corresponding actions towards that by praising Him or thanking Him. That action is in agreement with your faith. This fact is brought by very vividly in (1 John 5:14--15); "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will (word), he heareth us: and if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him." Now concerning the prayer of intercession, it is legal and proper to pray The Word of God and proclaim it over and over regarding any situation, for that is not vain repetition. Jesus put it this way: "But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking." (Matthew 6:7). Often times in prayer ministries or prayer groups people want to be heard or seen: and the Scriptures declare they have their reward. You are supposed to enter in your secret chamber or closet and God promise He will reward you openly ! (Matthew 6:6). "But when you pray, go into your (most) private room, and, closing the door, pray to your Father, who is in secret; and Your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you in the open."
