SCRIPTURAL BONDAGE ! Today there are many Christians who have been deceived by the evil one. Satan is called the deceiver. Many think that if they just serve God a little bit then that's good enough to get them into heaven. Satan's ability is in his deception. Jesus stripped him of his authority and power. God's word will always strip the armor from Satan and bring to light his deception. The Scripture said in God there is no darkness at all. "This, then, is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all." Now the eye is the window to the soul; For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The lamb of the body is the eye; if, therefore thine eye be healthy (single), thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If, therefore the light that is in the B darkness, how great is that darkness !. In other words if your eye is single on the word, all the time then the light that is in the word is in you ! But if your eye be not single or healthy on the word of God all the time; then that darkness is great. For the absence of light is darkness, and the absence of darkness is light. "Your testimonies are wonderful [far exceeding anything conceived by man]; therefore my [penitent] self keeps them [hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them). The entrance and unfolding of your words give light; there unfolding deals understanding (discernment and comprehension) to the sample." (Psalm 119:129-130). The amplified Bible. Satan's deception is his armor of darkness. God's word will penetrate that, and expose him. Many are held in bondage by certain scriptures. Have you noticed that the devil tried to put Jesus in bondage by quoting Scripture ? Now the enemy knows a few scriptures, but he will quote them out of context to bring you into bondage. If you take scripture out of context, you can make the Bible say anything you want to say. For example, the Bible says that Julius went out and hanged himself. Then another place Jesus said, "Go thou and do likewise." If you take these two scriptures out of context and put them together, you could say that the Bible says it is alright to go hang yourself. Well, some folks have. They have hung themselves spiritually by doing so. Certain scriptures hold people in bondage because they seem to say things which they do not say at all. If you learn to rightly divide the WORD, it will produce liberty. It will also produce power and strength in your life. Just as full will produce physical strength for the body, so will the word of God produce spiritual strength for the spirit man. We need to feast on the word and be doers of it.
