SARAH RECEIVED STRENGTH TO CONCEIVE ! The Bible specifically speaks of Sarah in (Hebrews 11:11). "Because of faith also Sarah herself received physical power to conceive a child, even when she was long past the age for it, because she considered [God] who had given her the promise to be reliable and trustworthy and true to His word." (Genesis 17:19; 18:11 through 14; 21:2). The amplified Bible. Sarah received strength to conceive seed through faith. The same principle worked for her that work for Abraham. Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in years; it had ceased to be with Sarah as with [young] women. [She was past the age of childbearing]. Therefore Sarah laughed to herself, saying, after I have become aged shall I have pleasured and delight, my lord (husband), being also ? And the Lord asked Abraham, why did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I really bear a child when I am so old ? Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord ? If the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son. Then Sarah denied it, saying, I did not laugh; (Genesis 18:11 through 15). For she was afraid. And He said, No, but you did laugh. We see from our text; that both Sarah and Abraham were considering their physical body now being dead. Sarah doubt and was afraid. You can have doubt in your head, and faith in your heart; and the promises of God will work. However, if you're trying to operate faith from your head with unbelief in your heart the promises of God will not work. Unbelief, is caused by what you believe. Actually unbelief is also disobedience ! Verse 9, " they said to him [Abraham], where is Sarah your wife ? And he said, she is here in the tent. Verse 10, The Lord said, I will surely return to you when the season comes around, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sarah was listening and heard it at the tent door which was behind Him." Notice the phrase's "will" and "shall. These are the two most strongest of any words. The Lord said, I will surely return to you when this season comes around, and behold, Sarah your wife will have a son. (v.10). (v.13) and the Lord asked Abraham, why did Sarah laugh, saying, shall I really bear a child when I am so old ? It is a legitimate question, because she was considering her age and her physical well-being. But she did not consider the words of the Lord. "Is anything too hard or too wonderful for the Lord ? At the appointed time, when the season [for her delivery] comes around, I will return to you and Sarah shall have borne a son." (v.14).
