REASON NUMBER SIX ! Confession of God's Word works for you because it sets the law of faith in motion. Remember, what you say, constantly is your faith speaking ! (Mark 11:23). Faith is a law of God. Paul makes this clear in (Romans 3:27). "Where is boasting then ? It is excluded. By what law ? Of works ? No: but by the law of faith. Faith in God is a law. This is the same law that Paul the apostle is referring to in (Romans 8:7), . . . The carnal mind is enmity against God: for it [the carnal mind] is not subject to the law of God. . . Enmity means "irreconcilable hostility." You cannot believe with your head what you can believe with your heart. You cannot believe with your head that speak into a mountain will cause it to move. Jesus was not talking about literal mountains; he were talking about the problems and situations in our lives: those were the mountains that he were referring to. This kind of faith will not work in your head. It only works in the heart. But if you renew your mind, you can reach a point where your head won't fight you over it. Paul the apostle made a statement in 2 Corinthians, "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." (2 Corinthians 4:13). That's the way it works. What you believe you speak. Whether or not you agree or disagree with the Scriptures. What you speak, you will believe stronger every time you speak it. This process causes faith to come. This process also causes fear to come: you are putting it in motion --- the spirit of fear is the spirit of faith as well as the law of faith. (Mark 11:23 and Luke 17:6 fall in line with the same thought. "For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." "And the Lord said, if you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you." All of the things explain how the law of faith is set in motion. It is not going to happen just because you say it. However, saying it is involved in setting it in motion. That's Why We Should Speak God's Word, even when outward circumstances or situations says that it isn't true in the natural. Things that are true in the word of God that should be true in our lives. And as far as God is concerned, is that way. He has already said all he That is going to say about it. It's a matter of us setting the law of faith in motion.
