REASON NUMBER FOUR ! Fear, if allowed to run its course, and will always put you under the circumstances. Because, God has not given us the spirit of fear , but of love, and of power and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7). That is why your mind must be renewed in God's knowledge so you won't place circumstances above the Word of God. Many precious people, cast the Word of God aside because what they see, hear, taste, or touch. In other words there basing their faith upon the five senses not on the word of God. That is why it is important for you to renew your mind. Do as the apostle Paul said to the (Colossians had done). "You have put off the old man with its deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him (God) that created him. (Colo answer ssians 3:9-10). Confessing God's Word works for you because it keeps the answer before you. If you are always facing the problem or speaking the problem, praying the problem, then you will have faith in the problem. If you are always talking about your problem to others, then you really do have a problem. If you go to the Lord and say, "Lord, I have this problem, and I can't get rid of this problem; it grows bigger every day," then you will eventually have a bigger problem. All you are seeing is the problem. Remember, words creates images ! When you in the morning, you see the problem. When you go to bed at night, you are thinking about the problem. You eat, sleep and live the problem. The problem has concerns you -- your time, your thoughts and your prayers. And faith cometh by hearing. You will have great faith in the problem or problems, but no faith in the answer. But when you begin to renew your mind and begin to keep the answer which is the Word of God before you Buy Confessing the Word of God, some will say, "Oh, you're just ignoring the problem." On the contrary, you are doing something about the problem. When you get accused of ignoring the problem or problems, just quote this Scripture. "Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." (Philippians 4:6-8). The apostle Paul began this last verse with, Finally, brethren. . . In other words, this will wrap up the whole thing: whatsoever things are true, honest, pure, lovely, just, and of a good report, think on these things. Everyone wants to have the peace of God that passes all understanding. But not many want to do what the Bible says to do in order to obtain it. Again many people with their religious ideas and the traditions of men will make the word of God of none effect ! They want a shortcut. They want to have the peace of God, but they also want to confess the problem and pray the problem. The more you pray the problem, the more faith you will have in the problem.
