PRAYER REPETIRION IS NOT CORRESPONDING ACTION ! Somewhere and sometime in your life, you have probably been taught that the way to get your prayers answered is to just keep praying the same thing over and over. Wrong ! You probably been told that, Finally, you will wear of God down, and He will grant your request. There is no scriptural basis for that kind of thinking. Something they have some scriptural basis for it, but if they rightly divide The Word, they will find no such basis at all. We will briefly look at some of the commonly misquoted and misunderstood Scriptures concerning this. One is the story of the widow and the unjust judge. (Luke 18:1--6). Almost everyone says the widow Just kept Coming to the unjust judge, but she only came to him once. It was her boldness of faith that caused him to do what he did for her. The other Scripture is a man who came for bread at midnight. (Luke 11:5--8). The Bible doesn't say that he ever knocked at all, but you hear it misquoted so often that the man just kept on knocking. I have heard preaches preach this message that if you want to get God's attention you have to keep on knocking keep on asking. But he simply asked and stood his ground until he received what he asked. And that is a good illustration of corresponding action to his faith. If you really had the God kind of faith, and believe that it was settled when you prayed, prayed what ? Your problem; or your answer, you wouldn't ask again. You know you receive the petitions that you desired. But when you get over into the area of intercession, your intercession is by praying the Word of God. That is something you are doing to change things. You are not asking God to do it. However, that is what people have been taught. You are pulling down strongholds. God has done all he is going to do concerning your salvation, which is your deliverance, your healing, your preservation and your soundness. He gave you And Me His Word, and we are supposed to take the Word of promise and say what God says about each situation or circumstance in our lives. Jesus gave us the example in (Matthew 4:4--11). If you ask God to do it, you need ask only once in faith. Then praise God for it until it comes into the natural realm. If you ask in unbelief, it's all right to pray begin and say, "Father, forgive me for unbelief. I'm going to pray in faith this time." Praying in faith is praying the Word of God !
