PRAYER IS NOT BASED ON FRIENDSHIP !

PRAYER IS NOT BASED ON FRIENDSHIP ! There is another aspect of this parable that we need to notice. Jesus said, "Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend. . . He had a reason for saying that. He is not just throwing in unnecessary detail. He is portraying a spiritual truth. Once Jesus said to His disciples, I called you no more servants but friends. A friend could go to the palace of the king or some high authority, knock at the gate, and be let in immediately. If he or she was not a friend, they would send a servant to tell him or her whether or not he or she could come in. Jesus is no longer calling us servants, but friends. But the Word of God does not say anything about God answering prayer on the basis of friendship. Prayer is not answered on the basis of friendship. It is answered on the basis of the legal contract made with God the Father. Through your faith in God, and in His Word ! Because you have been born again, you are the seed of Abraham. Jesus Christ is the laws of your life; you are a child of God; the spirit of God bears witness with your spirit; you can come boldly to the throne of grace. You can say, please remember this; your faith is what you say out of your mouth, "Father, I stand before You without fear, without condemnation, without a sense of guilt." This right are boldness is not because of friendship, but because of the new covenant. Now, if you do not have a clue on what is written in your contract with God; I suggest and I challenge you to study God's Word like you never have before. I strongly urge you to find out what is written in the new covenant contract about you, and about what God has said about you; then begin to act on that Word. Faith in God not only speaks, but it also has actions towards what is spoken. (2 Corinthians 4:13) says, "We Having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believe, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak; verse 18; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal." Now, we having the same spirit of faith; what you are saying whether in different, positive, or negative; it is your faith that is speaking. (Matthew 12:34). Jesus said "O generation of vipers, how can you being evil, speak good things ? For of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Verse 35, "A good man out of the good treasure of the heart brain forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." Listen, if you do not know what you're talking about shut your mouth. The Bible is not understood which you had; because the carnal mind is enmity against God, it will not submit to God nor to the things of God neither indeed can be. Ignorance creates bondage and lack of Christian liberty. "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it the carnal or fleshly or sensual; in fact, it is a part of the fallen nature or the lower nature that every human being inherited from the devil throughout Adam and Eve. For it the carnal mind is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. What law ? The law of faith ! So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God." (Romans 8:6 through 8).
