MEASURING FAITH ! "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." (Romans 12:3). How do we measure faith ? It is measured by how much word of God that you have in you ! The Bible is all of the God kind of faith that we will ever need. It is true that God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. But he gave that faith to us in His Word. So the only way you can measure your faith is to measure the amount of Word that is in you. I stated that in earlier lessons that the Bible is the object of our faith ! You don't start out with all of God's faith. You start with the Word you know, usually a small amount. It grows, you add the two it, and you hold fast to it. It grows within you. When Jesus said, "Except you receive the kingdom as a little child," He was referring to you receiving it into your human spirit as a seed. It is small --- less than all the other seeds when you receive it. But it grows and becomes the greatest of all. The kingdom within you grows as your faith grows. God is a God of faith. He shares that faith with us through His Word. Faith pleases God. I believe faith in action is God's personality in manifestation through you. . . . "Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6). It takes faith to please God, because God is not pleased unless we are operating in His laws. The law of faith is God's law. The apostle Paul spoke of this in (Romans 3:27). "Where is boasting then ? It is excluded. By what law ? Of works ? No: but by the law of faith." (Romans 3:27). Paul calls faith a law. Actually, we could say it this way: Faith is the law of the New Covenant. Words were the law of the Old Covenant, but faith is the law of the New Covenant. Remember, I said faith in action is God's personality in manifestation. (Hebrews 11:1) says it this way. "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
