KNOWLEDGE OF HIM !

KNOWLEDGE OF HIM ! How has God given us all things that pertain unto life and godliness ? Through The Knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. You and I can't believe for something if you have no knowledge of it. When you gain knowledge of a promise, you will gain a certain amount of faith regarding that promise. I know you do not hear these things in your Sunday service. But if you will speak that promise, your faith in God will grow concerning that particular promise. Peter said, "According as his divine power hath given . . ." What is God's divine power ? I know many of you would say the Holy Spirit. But the apostle Paul tells us, "For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end you may be established; that is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that often times I purposed to come unto you but was prevented thus far, that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks and to the barbarians; both to the wise and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For in it is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, the just shall live by faith." This is how God gives it to us --- through His divine power. The Good News is that The Word of God is His power. Paul said, . . . The gospel of Christ . . . Is the power of God . . . (Romans 1:16). He is sending us His divine promise through His divine Word. In other words, He has given us all things through His promise. Notice the wording, He hath or have given. He is not going to do it, He has already done it. "Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you may be partakers of the divine nature. . . (2 Peter 1:4). God's DNA or his nature is in the divine Word. In order to partake of this divine nature, you must take the Word of God from the pages of the Bible and get it to abide in you . Jesus said in (John 15:4). "Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you]. Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being virtually united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I Am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from virtual union with Me] you can do nothing. If a person does not dwell in Me, he is thrown out like a [broken off] branch, and withers; such branches are gathered up and thrown into the fire, and they are burned. If you live in Me [abiding virtually united to Me] and My Words remain in you and continue to live in your hearts, asked what ever you will, and it shall be done for you. When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine." The amplified Bible. In other words, the divine word of God must abide in you as you say you are abide in him: in this dwelling in him and his word dwells in you The Father is honored and glorified.
