IS IT FEAR OR THE GOD KIND OF FAITH ! "Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you, and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all men have faith But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and keep you from evil." (2 Thessalonians 3:1--3). Everyone who says they believe, have not the faith of God. Remember what Paul the apostle said in (Romans 12:3), "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man That Is among You [you who ? You the true believer In the Word of God]. Not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly according as God had dealt to every man the measure of faith." Well, how do you measure faith ? It is by the amount of The Word of God that you have in you ! There are some who haven't learned to believe God for relief from a headache. But they want to believe God for total healing of cancer. For many, it's not their faith that makes them want to believe God ---- it's their fear of the knife. You will bury most of those people. Many would have lived if they would have had the operation. I don't want to discourage anyone's faith in God's Word or in the doctor, but I caution you to know where you are before you make a decision when it means life or death to you or your family. The major point is this: you don't push anyone beyond their level of development. These people who say they believe can be taught if they will listen, and if they will practice their faith in God and develop their faith, many of them will eventually be able to receive divine healing and not need medicine. But if you push them beyond their level of development, some of them will die. Yes, James the apostle of Jesus Christ said, "Faith without works is dead." He is talking about a man who needed food and clothing. Just to say to that man or woman, "Go and be warmed and fed," is not enough. If you don't give him or her something, your faith is dead. (James 2:14--20). If we are to follow what James taught on works or corresponding action, then we must give the sick what they need. First of all, they need to be anointed with all oil and have the prayer of faith prayed over them. (James 5:14--15). But even after the prayer of faith is prayed and the healing power of God flows into their body, the symptoms may linger in their body for several days before they have the total manifestation of their healing. The medicine they are taking does not heal, but keeps the disease from getting out of control and holds down the symptoms. Many precious people counsel the prayer of faith by the words of their mouth because they believe the symptoms more than the Word of God. In other words, they are highly developed in fear rather than faith. Even though there was a divine healing process started in their body through prayer, the symptoms must be dealt with until they have a total manifestation of their healing. Some can handle the symptoms and stay in faith, in other words, stay in The Word of God, but some can't. Now remember, James indicated you should give the man or woman what he or she needed and that would be faith with corresponding action. It may be true that the person is healed as far as God said by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. But if you take away their medicine, the symptoms will usually cause them to doubt. Someone may say, "But if they are healed, they don't need the medicine" if they have received by faith, they really would need the medication to hear of their body, but they may need it to control the symptoms so they don't get into fear and doubt. So for some, the medicine is needed, until they have the full manifestation of healing. Others who are operating on a higher level of the God kind of faith can ignore the symptoms and stay in faith, knowing that healing is a process that takes time.
