HOW DO YOU MEASUR FAITH ! "For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." (Romans 12:3). Is it true that God has dealt to every man the measure of faith. How ? He gave that faith to us in Word form: His Word. So the only way you and I can measure your faith is to measure the amount of Word that is in you. You don't start out with all of God's faith. You start with the Word you know, usually a small amount. And you probably picked it up in Sunday school, but you have to water the incorruptible seed that was given to you; it grows, you add to it, and you hold fast to it. It grows within you. I know you didn't learn this in what is called church or Sunday school. When Jesus said, "Except you receive the kingdom as a little child," He was referring to you receiving it into your human spirit as a seed. Not your head ! It is small --- less than all the other seeds when you receive it. But it grows and becomes the greatest of all. The kingdom within you: I'm talking to the born-again believer; that kingdom within you grows as your God kind of faith grows. God is a God of faith. I'm talking about Bible faith. He shares that faith with us through His Word. Faith pleases God: Bible faith pleases God. I believe faith in action is God's personality in manifestation through you or me. . . . "Without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." (Hebrews 11:6). It takes faith to please God, because God is not please unless we are operating in His laws of faith. The law of faith is God's law. The apostle Paul spoke of this in (Romans 3:27). "Where is boasting then ? It is excluded. By what law ? Of works ? No: but by the law of faith. "It was to demonstrate and prove it the present time (in the now season) that He Himself is righteous and that He justifies and accepts as righteous him who has [true] faith in Jesus. Then what becomes of [our] pride and [our] boasting ? It is excluded (banished, ruled out entirely). On what principle ? (On the principle of keeping the Mosaic 319 laws of doing good deeds ? No, but on the principle of faith. The apostle Paul calls faith a law. Actually, we could say it this way: faith is the law of the New Covenant. Works were the law of the Old Covenant, But Faith Is the Law of the New Covenant. Remember, I said faith in action is God's personality in manifestation. (Hebrew 11:1). Says it this way. FAITH --- God's Substance ! "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
