HOPE IS NECESSARY ! Hope is a partner to faith. You are reading this lesson because you hope to receive some insight into hope and faith alone will not give you that insight. Yet, if it wasn't for hope, and you wouldn't have opened this lesson or your Bible. When the sick comes into a proud line, they hope to be healed. If they didn't have hope, they wouldn't come for prayer. Since faith is the substance of things hoped for, then there must be some hope, or them wouldn't be anything for faith to give substance to. This will explain to you why some have died, even though they were saying all the right things. Others say, "I just don't understand why they died." It could be that they gave up hope. There is no faith in hope: it is written, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) and it is written, "But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." Many deer people think that prayer is their answer, yes; they are right. But, the Bible says in (James 5:13-14--15). "Is any among you afflicted ? Let him pray. Is any Merry ? Let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you ? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him." What is the prayer of faith ? Is it a prayer of hope ! No, the prayer of faith is simply praying the Word of God. Or simply putting God in remembrance of what He said. I understand many people don't know what God has said or promised: that tells me that many people just wait to go in here their pastor preach on what is called the gospel today. No one is getting delivered, no one is getting born again: it is all purely entertainment ! "So then, after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen." (Mark 16:19--20). Now what do you think they were preaching ? I believe, they were preaching Christ Jesus: both of what they heard and seen ! This new age gospel isn't the gospel of Jesus Christ and all !
