FAITH IN GOD'S WORD --- WHY IT WORKS ! I want you to see what Jesus said in the parable of the sower. "Hear you therefore the parable of the sower. When anyone heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side." (Matthew 13:18-19). The account of this parable in (Mark 4:14- through 20) is a little different from Matthew's let's compare it with (Mark 4:15). "And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts." (Mark 4:15). Mark says when the seed of the Word of God is sown in the heart, Satan comes immediately and takes away the Word. If you read this account and don't read the account in Matthew, you will think that Satan could steal the word from your heart anytime he wants to. But he can't. (Matthew 13:19) states, "When anyone heateth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not. . . This is the reason it's so easy for Satan to steal the Word from some people. They heard it, but didn't understand it. If you understand the Word of God that is sown, Satan cannot steal it from you. It can't be taken from you. Jesus established this point with Martha when she was concerned about Mary sitting and the feet of Jesus, hearing the Word. "And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things; but one thing is needful: and Mary hath (or have) chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her." (Luke 10:41-42). Jesus said the Word that Mary was receiving wouldn't be taken from her by Satan or anyone else. This indicates that she understood the Word that Jesus taught. That's why teaching is so important. If it is taught accurately, more people will understand it and stop Satan from stealing the Word, their health, their finances, their family members.
