FAITH COMETH ! There are many short cuts. However, there are a few avenues which will cause faith or fear to come more quickly to you. If you will use them properly, that spiritual force within you will build more quickly. For instance, if you speak God's Word Out of your mouth, faith will come more quickly. The same principle works when it comes to fear. Remember what the apostle Paul said: ". . . Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God." Now when you use the same spiritual force in reverse gear, "Fear cometh by hearing, and hearing the words of the world or Satan ! (Romans 10:17). The Holy Ghost, through the apostle Paul, is talking about faith in God and in His Word. He Says Faith Comes by Hearing God's Word. Now, that being true, it has to be spoken in order to be heard. You can't hear something that isn't spoken. In (Mark 4: 1 through 20) Jesus begins to teach. "Again Jesus began to teach beside the lake. And a very great crowd gathered around Him, so that He got into a ship in order to sit in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was it the Lakeside on the shore. And He taught them many things in parables (illustrations or comparisons put beside truths to explain them), and in His teaching He said to them: Give Attention to This ! Behold, a sower went out to sow. And as he was sowing, some seed fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Other seed [of the same kind] fell on the ground full of rocks, where it had not much soil]; and at once it sprung up, because it had no depth of soil; and when the sun came up, it was scorched, and because it had not taken root, it withered away. Others seed [of the same kind] fell among thorn plants, and the thistles grew and pressed together and utterly choked and suffocated it, and it yield no grain. And other seed [of the same kind] fell into good (well adapted) soil and brought forth grain, growing up and increasing, and yielded up to 30 times as much, and 60 times as much, and even 100 times as much as had been sown. And he kept that said, He who has ears to hear, let him be hearing [and led him consider, and comprehend]. In as soon as He was alone those who were around Him, with the 12 [Apostles], began to ask Him about the parables. And He said to them, to you has been entrusted the mystery of the kingdom of God [that is, the secret counsels of God which are he from the ungodly]; but for those outside [of our circle] everything becomes a parable, in order that they made [indeed] look and looked but not see and perceive, and may here and here but not grasp and comprehend, least happily they should turn again, and it [their willful rejection of the truth] should be forgiven them. And he That said to them, do you not discern and understand this parable ? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables ? The sower sows the Word." I am convinced that the apostle Paul is referring to hearing our own voice and hearing your own self repeating what God has said. You have more faith in what you say then in what anyone else says. That is the way God designed you and me. (Hebrews 11:1) says faith is the substance of things hoped for. Faith is the evidence of things not seen. We have assumed that you use your faith on things which you can see. But that is directly contrary to the Bible.
