FAITH AND CONFESSION -- WHY IT WORKS ! Please understand, the God kind of faith in your heart (spirit) will work: but the God kind of faith in your head will not work. You can have faith in God in your head, and faith in God in your spirit and it will work: and on the other hand, you can have doubt in your head: and faith in your heart it will work. But you can't have doubt in your spirit and faith in your head it simply will not work ! Why ? (Romans 8:7). "Because the carnal mind is enmity (hostile and irreconcilable) against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, neither, indeed, can be. So the, they that are in the flesh cannot please God." All of these things explain how the law of faith is set in motion. It is not going to happen just because you said it. However, saying it is involved in setting the law of faith in motion. That's why we should speak God's Word, even when outward situations and circumstances say that it isn't true in the natural. All things are true in the Word of God that should be true in our lives. And as far as God is concerned, it is that way. He has already said all He is going to say about it. And we should say the same thing ! It's a matter of us setting the law of the God kind of faith in motion. People sometimes say, "Well, where do I start ?" You start where you are. First of all, if you are sick: stop saying what the doctor said. The Bible stands by his stripes you were healed ! Don't ever try to start on someone else's level. Many get into trouble with the faith and confession message it the very start. They are trying to start out beyond their level of development. That's right, you have developed doubt and unbelief concerning the Word of God. And as long as the enemy the devil can keep you there, you would not have victory in your life. That is like trying to build a new third story on a vacant lot. You must start where you are. You may want to start by confessing that you will get a parking place when you go downtown. Develop your faith in this small things don't try to confess $1 million when you can't develop to that level to believe for it. Work it in the small things first. You will finally get to where you can believe God for bigger thing. By experience you learn what makes it work, and also what will stop it from working. There are some who confess God's Word out of fear. It sounds good. But it doesn't work ! They say the right things. But they are doing it out of fear. Your confession must be done in faith. That's why you must continue to do it. You will speak some things that you won't believe when you first say them even though you know it is right because it is in the Bible. You know the Bible is true, but it's not true in your life. Because you have developed your self highly and unbelief and doubt. If you speak it, confess it, proclaim it long enough, you will believe it. For what you continued to speak, you will eventually believe.
