FAITH AND CONFESSION -- WHY IT WORKS ! If you pray the answer: the Word of God is your answer, your faith will grow while you are praying. Because the word of God says that faith comes by hearing and by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17). On the other hand, if you pray the problem, your fears will grow while you are praying. It's because the same law of faith is being applied ! So many Christians destroyed their faith by their praying. That is neither the will nor the direction of God. Prayer is not for the destruction of your faith. Prayer is to obtain the answer --- "Whatsoever things you desire." I neither do you desire the problem, so I or you don't praying the problem. I traveled that religious role of praying for 10 years of my Christian life, and I seldom saw a prayer answered. If I did come it was just a faith accident. Someone stated it this way, and I think it's a good illustration. It's about 239.1 Miles from Houston to Dallas Texas. If you started out from Houston to Dallas Texas, and drove for three days and didn't get there, you would know you were on the wrong road. But I traveled that religious role of praying 14 years and never did get to my destination. But when I found in the Scriptures that I was supposed to pray the answer instead of the problem, I got more prayers answered in two weeks than I did in the previous 10 year period this may help you save 10 years of wasted prayer. It is called the dead file of prayer. Don't pray the problem. Praying the answer. "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereunto I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11). Who is going to return God's Word to Him ? He is expecting you to do that. If you return God's Word to Him, it will cause your faith to grow. It will renew your mind, and it will plant seeds in the kingdom. God is not trying to make it hard on you or me. He's trying to make it easy for you and me. Many precious people of God are praying repetitious either to be seen or heard: "And when thou prayest, thou shall not be as the hypocrites are; for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corner of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. But that, when thou prayest, enter into thy room, and when thou had shut the door, pray to thy Father who is in secret; and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly. But when you pray, use not vain repetitions, as the pagans do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not you, therefore, like unto them; for Your Father knoweth what things you have need of, before you ask him." (Matthew 6:5 through 8).
