FAITH AND CONFESSION --- WHY IT WORKS ! Peter stepped out of the boat and walked on the water. But he began to look at circumstances. He saw the high waves and heard the boisterous wind. That is what is happening to a lot of people that say they got faith in God or that they trust in God. They consider the circumstances of their life or the situations and cast out the Word. What did that have to do with walking on water ? What does that have to do with speaking to your mountain ? Nothing ! Peter allows circumstances (that had nothing to do with walking on the water) to drain his faith and he began to sink. Many of you dear people are allowing circumstances and situations to drain your faith and you are sinking. Think about it for a minute. He had never seen anyone walk on the water, neither have you are me; with the expression of Jesus, and that was while the wind was blowing during a storm. And He was already walking on the water. The way Peter should have assessed that situation should have been something like this: "I've never seen anyone walk on the water before. I guess the only time you can walk on the water is when the wind is blowing up a storm." And Jesus says "Come," but Peter's mind was not renewed. "But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me." (Matthew 14:30). That's pretty much what we all do, when we do not understand how to operate in the kingdom principles of the God kind of faith. Fear, if allowed to run its course, will always put you under the circumstances or situations. That is why your mind must be renewed in God's knowledge so you won't place circumstances or situations above the Word of God. It is important for you to renew your mind. I must remind you, the soul of man: did not get born again when you were born again. The soul, is the will, the emotions, and your intellect. Do as the apostle Paul said to the Colossians had done. . . . You have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him. (Colossians 3:9-10). Do not think that it is okay to do as the world do, you and I have been called out of. Grace is not a license to continue to sin that grace may abound !
