EXPRESSED IMAGE ! Do you want to know what God is really like ? Jesus said, . . . He that hath seen me hath seen the Father. . . (John 14:9). . . The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise (John 5:19). So Jesus was doing just what He saw His Father do. Now, in (John 8:42-44) Jesus was talking to the religious people of that dispensation of time ! "Jesus said unto them, if God were your Father, you would love me; for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Why do you not understand my speech ? Even because you can not hear my word. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own; for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the truth, you believe me not." Now you should be able to see the two nature: one is of God; the other is of the devil. As I have said in the past, God's DNA is in His Word. Also the devils DNA is in His Word ! Marvel not I tell you the truth you must be born again of the incorruptible seed Of the Word of God. (1 Peter 1:23). "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abided forever." Now you and I just do not become saved because we joined what is called church: in fact your church attendance does not constitute for salvation. Listen to what first Peter 1:23 says, Being born again: it is as if this is a continuing process of being born again ! Not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible by the word of God which lives and abides forever. "I have many things to say and to judge of you: but he that sent me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I have heard of him. (John 8:26). If you want to know why Jesus was so highly developed in His faith, It Was Because He always spoke that which He heard from His Father. That's how He defeated the devil, and that's how you as well as me can enforce the devils defeat in any area of our lives. There Is More Power in God's Word then most people have ever realized. Notice the word person in Hebrews 1:3, where it says, . . . Being. . . The express image of his person. . . In other words, Jesus, or The Word, is the brightness of God's glory, and the express image of God's person. The word person is translated from the very same Greek word that is translated substance in Hebrews 11:1. You could actually say faith is the person of things hoped for. Jesus was the word in person form, or the word personified. We could read Hebrews 1:3 this way: "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of God's substance . . ." What God was, His Word was. "In the beginning Was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1).
