The word person is translated from the very same Greek word that is translated substance in (Hebrews 11:1). You could actually save faith is the person of things hoped for. Jesus was the Word in person form, Or the Word personified. We could read (Hebrews 1:3) this way: "Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of God's substance . . ." What God was and is, His Word is still God's substance. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." (John 1:1). "And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called the Word of God." (Revelation 19:13).
