EXCITED FAITH IS OFTEN DISAPPOINTED FAITH ! As in Peter's case, excited faith will sometimes cause others to do things just because you did. They want to act on your level of faith instead of their own level. Remember your faith is in what you say, and a man can have what he say if you're believe in doubt not in his heart those things he or she is saying ! (Mark 11:23) many precious people are develop more highly in doubt and unbelief. And they'll tell you they have faith. For example, several years ago a preacher was speaking in a certain church and told of how God supernaturally supplied fuel for his airplane. It was lost out in the Northwest parts of the country and had flown for five hours and 25 minutes before landing. The airplane only held enough fuel for four hours and 30 minutes. When he landed, he still had 17 gallons of fuel in the tanks. A man in the church heard his testimony and got excited. After the service that night, he and his wife got in their car and started home. His wife said, "We'd better get some gas in the car." "No," he said, "God put gas in brother so-and-so's airplane, He'll put gas in my car." He drove 5 miles out in the country and ran out of gas and called the pastor. The pastor had to go get him and his wife some gas. These are some of the things that people do with excited faith. I have learned when I give that testimony to tell them, "Now remember, this was an emergency. God is not going to put gas in your car just because it's empty. If it were an emergency situation, and you were developed to that level of faith, it makes a difference. But God is not in the business of supplying gasoline for everyone. This is an example of excited faith. That man did that because the preacher left something unsaid that should have been said, and he read between the lines what he thought he the preacher meant.
