DON'T BE DECEIVED !

DON'T BE DECEIVED ! Several years ago a man said, "Oh, I wouldn't ask you to pray for me." The preacher said, "why not?" He said, "I'm taking medicine." The preacher answered, "what is the medicine supposed to do?" He said, "the doctor said the medicine would help me." The preacher said, "The Bible says will help you; the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. (James 5:15). It seems to me, if we do both, you may get well twice as fast." This is one of the things the devil has used. He uses these thoughts to put condemnation on those who are sick. The devil would like for you to go one way or the other, but not both. For he has a better chance if you are limited to one or the other. He will say, "if you are going to believe God, you can't take medicine," or "if you take medicine, you can't believe God." But God wants you well and delivered, even if it takes both methods --- or 10 more ! The devil wants you sick and depressed as well as in bondage and not to mention dead ! Too many people are like Peter. They get out of the boat before they have water walking faith. They may make it a while, but soon they began to sink, because they haven't learned to keep their eyes off of circumstances or situations. The Bible says, "For our light , momentary affliction (this slight distress of the passing hour) is evermore and more abundantly preparing and producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory [beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease !], Since we consider and love not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting." The amplified Bible. When the spirit of fear comes, that's proof enough that they are not walking by faith. When they called and ask, "why isn't it working?" They are not fully persuaded.
