CROOKED SPEECH MEANS LESS FAITH IN GOD ! Many times we have notified our faith by crooked speech. We have spoken things we did mean . We have said, "the devil is after me you you ! When the devil only comes for the words sake. "Oh, isn't it hot outside ? When it was 60°. By doing so we have lost faith in the words we speak. But God releases faith in every Word He has spoken. When Jesus was being tempted in the wilderness: "And the tempter came and said to Him, If You Are God's Son, command these stones to be made [loaves of bread]. But He replied, it has been written, Man shall not live and be of hell and sustained by bread alone, but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4: 3-4). The amplified Bible. Many people are imitating their father the devil ! They are talking his language. You see, before a person is born again they are talking like the world and the devil. Even after they are born again many still talk like the adversary and the world. Jesus said you will know them by the fruit that is the fruit of their lips; because what's in the heart in abundance will come out of the mouth. Now, If You Can Obtain Faith from God's Word, There Must First Be Faith in God's Word. If you had an empty bucket, you could pour water out of it. If There Was No Faith in God's Word, you couldn't get faith from it. But God's Word is filled with the God kind of faith. That faith which is in God's Word will get inside of you, if you will speak it. Remember what Jesus said, "But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered . Fear not , then; you are of more value than many sparrows . Therefore , everyone who acknowledges Me before men And Confesses Me [out of a state of oneness with Me] I will also acknowledge him before my father Who is in heaven and confess [that I am abiding in him." (Matthew 10: 31-32). Now, many people have been taught to confess the name of Jesus which is good. But here he is talking about confessing the Word; many people disassociate Jesus from the Word: when He is the Word and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. The apostle John said, "In the beginning Was the Word, And the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made." I submit to you That the Word of God is still God over every circumstance and situation in your life: but you have to do your part, and your part is to get it in your mouth to be in your heart. Your voice is picked up by your inner ear and fed directly into your human spirit. That's the way you hear yourself speak. I remember hearing myself on a CD preaching what I thought was a sermon in what is called church, I asked my wife who is that, she replied that you; I replied what in the world was I preaching. It Sure Wasn't the Gospel !
