CALL FOR PEACE IN THE STORM ! Then again in Mark chapter 4, we find Jesus calling things that are not manifest. "And the same day, when the evening was come, he said unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awoke him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish ? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still and the wind ceased, and there was a great calm." (Mark 4:35- 37- 39) Notice, Jesus spoke to the wind and the waves. Again I know what you're thinking that Jesus was the son of God; yes you are right, but he was also the Son of Man. He defeated Satan as a man not as God ! As he stood up in the boat, He saw the wind boisterous and the waves coming into the boat. You must understand how God designed all humanity: he designed us to believe that every word we say has power whether it be negative energy or positive energy. (Proverbs 18:21) . There was a real storm on the sea. He looked at the storm and said, "Peace, be still." There wasn't any peace when He said that. But He was calling the thing that was not manifest. "Peace, be still !" Sounds like a lie, doesn't it ? There was no peace and nothing out there was still. But He called it. Many people do not understand how things come about in their lives; remember when James said, "For we all often stumble and fall and offend in many things. And if any one does not offend in speech [never says the wrong things], he is a fully developed character and a perfect man, [mature] able to control his whole body and to curb his entire nature. Verse 4, Likewise, look at the ships called though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines. Verse 5, Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast great thing, seeing how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze ! And the tongue is a fire. [The tongue is a] world of wickedness set among our members, contaminating and depraving the whole body and setting on fire the wheel of birth (see cycle of man's nature), being ignited itself by hell." I stated that the enemy of all humanity needs your tongue to set the course of your life. Now if you don't like what is taking place in your life you have to put in a brighter on your tongue ! It sets the cornerstone of your life, and it is ignited by hell: meaning the devil ! I'm glad some of the people I know wasn't in that boat. They would have said, "But, Jesus, You can't do that. You have to say it like it is." Wouldn't it have been foolish to stand up in that boat and say, "Big waves and strong winds ! We're sinking ! "? Many dear people operate this kingdom principle that Jesus used in reverse to prophesy their own doom.
