BELIEVING GOD IS A DECISION YOU MAKE ! Although the God kind of faith is the ability to conceive God's Word into the human spirit you don't always want to believe God. You must make a decision to believe God. I know a lot of people say they believe God, but the truth is they don't believe God the way God say believe. You don't just wake up some morning feeling like believing God. In fact, most mornings you wake up thinking, "Dear God, I wish I didn't have to believe that today. I know it says that in your Word. But it looks and feels so different in the natural. I Wish I Didn't Have To Believe What You said." But you must make a decision to believe it if you are to receive it. Many times that means you believe it in the face of a parent defeat. Even in the face of lack, you stand on your decision to believe the promise. When things are going wrong it's time to button your lip and only believe. In fact the apostle Paul says in (Romans 10:10). "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." The King James Bible. The amplified translation says it this way. "For with the heart a person believe (adheres to, trust in, and relies on Christ) (The Word) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation." The apostle Paul also said it this way. "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God. . . (Ephesians 4:29-30). In certain situations, if you can't speak in agreement with God's Word, then don't speak at all. But there are other times we must force our mouth to speak and declare God's Word over the situation in order to change it. Then you should hold fast to your confession of faith ! Our words should always be filled with faith, and they should minister grace to the hearer. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, "Who is the number one hearer of what I say ?" If you look in the mirror, you are looking at the number one hearer. You are the one to hear it first. And the enemy is also listening: first you hear it in your thought. Then you speak it. Remember I talked about you hearing your voice on the recorder. When you heard it, you were embarrassed, because it didn't sound at all like you thought you sounded. The reason for that was you had always heard yourself mostly with the inner ear . If you plug up your ears and speak, your voice sounds louder to you, because you're in the year is picking up that sound. Your voice is picked up by the inner ear and is fed directly into the human spirit. This is how you get God's Word into your heart. This is why the God kind of faith will come more quickly when you speak God's Word. For your spirit will receive the words you speak more quickly than it will receive words that others speak. I can read the word of God to you, but it will not affect you to the same degree as if you speak and declare the Word of God yourself.
