AN ATTITUDE OF PRAYER ! Let's look at this passage of Scripture, so often misinterpreted and misleading to many in their praying: "And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought to always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1). The amplified Bible says, ". . . And not turned coward." We ought always to pray. Obviously, He doesn't mean for us to crawl around on our knees, praying all the time; but you can be in an attitude of prayer continually. "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desire him." (1 John 5:13-15). Here is what the Spirit of God revealed to me as I meditated and considered the Scripture prayer-fully: "if you have a need this morning and you prayed over it in accordance to God's will; His Word. Believing that you receive when you pray, then tomorrow when some of the need arises, don't faint and give up because the first prayer has not been manifested. Men ought always to pray and not faint, or turned coward and give up. In other words, don't cast the Word to the side; hold fast to the confession of your faith. You ought to pray about each need as it arises. In (Luke 18:2) Jesus begins the parable: "There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: and there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of my adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, though I fear not God, nor regard man; yet because this widow troubles me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge said. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them ? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of Man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth ?" (Luke 18:2 through 8). I believe the question is shall he find the God kind of faith on the earth when he comes ! You will not take away from that Scripture, nor will you really add to it, if you said, "Will He find that kind of faith on the earth when He comes ?"
