WHAT WOULD RIGHTEOUSNESS SAY? In (Romans 10:8), The apostle Paul tells us what the righteousness which is of faith would say: "What says it? The Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in that heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we preach." Notice that the Word gets in your mouth first, then in your heart. The word [preach], means to declare are say louder and louder. So far you have perhaps been declaring what the enemy has done are doing to you. In other words, you are talking about the world, and the devil. If you are in right standing with God, that would mean to be righteous. If the Word of God doesn't get in your mouth, then it won't get in your heart. You can learn about the Word of God. You can hear about the Word of God. But until you put the Word of God in your mouth on a consistent basis and speak it as well as pray it, it has not reached its highest form in you. Faith in God comes by hearing; and to hear the Word of God, it must first be spoken. The righteousness which is of faith would not say; "Jesus will have to come back and touch me." It Would Not Say that, "Will have to reverse the process of Jesus death. Raise Jesus up from the grave and let Him Walk in His physical body, so He can meet our needs." The righteousness which is of faith say, "Jesus is not here physically, but the Word is nigh me." It is the same Word that created heaven and earth. And whosoever will call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved (Romans 10:13) and when you call up on the name of the Lord, with His Word of promise, That Word will not go on answered, it will perform the thing unto which it has been sent. (Revelation 19:13) says "and He was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood; and his name is called The Word of God." Jesus was and is God personified in flesh. This is the divine nature; do you realize that God's written Word is just as powerful as Jesus was when He walked the face of the earth? There is as much power in His written Word under the New Covenant as there was in Jesus as He walked the earth. God the Father sent His Son the Word which is Jesus and healed them, whether it was through Jesus who was in the beginning are the promise of the New Covenant. So, this is the way we become heirs of the world, with Abraham and heirs of this promise: through the righteousness which is of faith. When the righteousness which is of faith speaks, it speaks faith that is in God and His Word, not fear and doubt. Now let's bring verse 8 and 9 together. "But what saith it? What says faith in the Word, the Word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the Word of faith, which we declare; that if thou shalt confess with the mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." This is what you are doing when you say you have faith in God or you trust God, However, your confession of faith in God must be constant and consistent in the face of adverse situations. (2 Peter 1:2--4) says, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus, our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that has called us to glory and virtue; by which are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust." By these you might be partakers of the divine nature, it didn't say you or me were going to be partakers automatically. You and I must choose to conceive the written Word of God in our hearts. And the only way that happens is to get The Word first in your Mouth then the process of getting it in your heart begins. Now, this process of developing the God kind of faith in God and His Word begins. This is not a matter of memorization; this is a matter of getting the Word of God off the pages of the book and making it personal in your life. It becomes first nature, not second!
