TWO SYSTEMS OF FINANCE ! After Adam died, Noah's sons Ham and Japheth came up with their own way of dealing with that curse. Turning their backs on THE BLESSING God has declared over their father after the flood, they followed in Adam's footsteps and departed from God's way of doing things. Again, doesn't this sounds familiar ! Many people are doing the same thing that Adam, and the sons of Noah had done. Instead of obeying God's Word and trusting THE BLESSING to prosper them, they invented their own system of commerce which became the fend for yourself, dog-eat-dog, lie- cheat- and steal economy we see in the world today. In that system, people attempt to meet their own needs without God. They believe that to be BLESSED they must be rich, so they spend their lives struggling to make money. From paycheck to paycheck. According to (Psalms 73:12), "These are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches." Notice, that verse says they increase in riches. Rather than looking to God to prosper them, they devise ways to increase themselves. I call that system of commerce the Babylonian system because it made its scriptural debut at the Tower of Babel--- and it is divinely destined to fail. To find that out, all you have to do is look at the first people who operated in it. Unlike most people today, they actually understood God's way of doing things. They knew His method of creating is to imagine it, believe it and speak it. There was just one catch: They refused that method would work with or without God, and they decided to use it without Him. Many of you still have the same idea: that if you don't work you will not eat. But the word of God is a bag of seed, that you have to sow in your heart. Your heart (soul) is the soil. I'm not talking about memorization. And they said... "Let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. And The Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded. And The Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. The whole earth is still under the curse, even though Jesus Christ died and rose and is now seated at the right hand of the Father! That ungodly system is still at work, and many people are still trying to operate in it. Why don't you do God's method of operation. My job, and your job is to do what Jesus said to do: and that is recorded in (Matthew 6: 26 through 33) the key verse is 33; "But seek you first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." I suggest, that you began to learn how to trust God in every area of your life, after all your life is hidden in Christ! Trusting God is based upon The Word of God. "Trust is the Hebrew word batach, to confide in, so as to be secure and without fear. It is written Trust in the Lord with all your heart (soul); and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths."
