THE TONGUE DECEIVES THE HEART: "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridle not his tongue, but deceives his own heart, this man's religion is vain." (James 1:26) . In the amplified Bible (James 1: 26-27) "if anyone thinks himself to be religious (piously observant of the external duties of his faith) and does not bridle his tongue but deludes his own heart, this person's religious service is worthless (frutile, barren) . External religious worship [religion as it is expressed in outward acts] that is pure and unblemished in the sight of God the Father is this: to visit and help and care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and need and to keep oneself unspotted and on contaminated from the world." James said, "if any man seems to be religious, what he or she believes will be in the van if they don't watch what he or she speaks. There are many that seem to be religious, but they don't bridle their tongues. They speak all sorts of things that destroyed their faith and deceive their heart (soul). Others do acts of kindness to be seen by men. When they start out in their Christian life, they may have great faith in God. But if they speak and believe everything they hear on television, or some other media platform they will have faith in the devil to steal what they have said. They will have faith in depression, instead of prosperity. What they believe in the beginning will disappear because faith cometh by hearing. Fear also comes the same way. James also says, pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world. If you are praying one thing and saying something else; your saying will nullify your praying. (Make legally void) In other words you're praying and you're saying has to come together or you're saying will make you pray to be of non-effect. SPIRITUAL LAW WORK: someone made the statement that those who say they can and those who say they can't both right regarding any situation. Learn to operate in the power of God's Word and the law of faith. We can all understand natural law. That is the law of gravity. You know the law of gravity works. There is always someone foolish enough to say that it doesn't apply to them, but if they just jump off a building, they will discover that it does. The law of gravity works when it's cold, and it works when it's hot. It works when the wind is blowing, and it works when it's not. It works when it's raining, and it works when it's dark because it's a fixed law of God. God's Word is spiritual law. God's Word works when you apply it properly to your situation and circumstances. But sometimes we have made up our home rules and spoken things we didn't mean and then say, "well, I said that, but I really didn't mean it. I did say we are going bankrupt, but God knows what I mean." That's like you going to the phone and saying, "I'm going to dial my father's number on the phone," then dialing three or four numbers right but missing the last three. Then you say, "Oh, well, the phone company knows what I meant." You are not going to talk to your father. You didn't follow the phone company's instructions. UNCONTROLLED POWER WILL DESTROY: We have to realize something: we have to go by God's rules. God has some rules and regulations concerning His laws. And I am talking about the laws of faith. And when we operate in spiritual law, we must operate with God's rules. CONTROLLED and UNCONTROLLED POWER: We have learned how to conform to and enforce the laws of electricity, and as long as you don't violate that law, you can use electricity safely. It will heat your house, cook your food, and wash your clothes. We have said, "My, isn't it wonderful that we have electricity?" But that same force, which can do so much good for you, will also destroy you if it's uncontrolled. Proverbs says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. . ." (Proverbs 18:21. That old saying, "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me," is simply not true. Words can destroy you for words produce faith or fear. Faith will build. are fear will build. Fear will destroy, in the epidemic of the Covid 19, the media put people in fear, because the people were listening. many of them were operating in fear rather than faith. Even some of those who were saying that they are believers. BINDING ARE LOOESING: the spirit world can be controlled by the word of God. Jesus gave Peter some insight concerning the kingdom. "And I will give unto the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:19). With words you bind things, are you lose other things. Sometimes you think you are just being honest, and you loose the devil against your finances by saying things like, "Well, we just never can get ahead." "If I ever do get a good job, I lose it." Those words loose the enemy against you. The enemy operates on the authority of your words. The Word of God says "Whatever you do will prosper, and no weapon formed against you will prosper. If you give, it will be given unto you good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over shall men give unto you. You have favor with men and God." (Psalms 1:3; Isaiah 54:17; Luke 6:38; Acts 2:47)
