THE THRILL OF TITHING IN THE LIGHT OF THE BLESSING ! That's how God the Father planned it. That's why He gave Jesus to be our High Priest. So instead of being led by our emotions, running scared of every lying threat the devil comes up with, our souls could be anchored in THE BLESSING. You have to understand, when you are born again: we call it getting saved; your soul did not get born again. You are a spirit, you live in a body; and you possess a soul. The soul is the makeup of your will, your intellect, your emotions and your thinker. That's why it is recorded in (Romans 12:1-2). From the message Bible. "So here's what I want you to the, God helping you: take your everyday ordinary life-- your sleeping, eating, going to work, and walking around life-- and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best of you, developing well formed maturity in you." God swore an oath to us-- who are born again-- not in the blood of bulls and goats but in the blood of His own Son-so we, like Abraham, could become fully persuaded that THE BLESSING is our source of supply. He appointed Jesus to receive our tithes so our minds, wills and emotion could stayed rocksolid through any storm, and we could rest assured that we have a faithful High Priest who is continually ministering that BLESSING to us. When I first began to see these things in THE WORD years ago, I realize that I had not taken seriously tithing or wasn't spending enough time tithing. I had to get into the habit of just giving a little money here and there. Laying hands on them and praying over them a little, and then sending them somewhere. That's not enough. You need to make tithing more of a covenant interaction. Ever since then, tithing has been very serious business for JoAnn and me. We take the time to bring our tithe Before Jesus As Our High Priest. We get on our knees and receive communion over it. We speak words over it that follow the pattern God gave the Israelites in (Deuteronomy 26). We say things like, "Lord of the tithe, we bring this to You with joy And Thanksgiving for All You have done for us. We thank you for those who have fed us spiritually. We thank You for those who have blessed us. We thank you for THE BLESSING of Abraham that is ours in Christ Jesus. We thank you that we are joint heirs with Him, And through Him, and heirs of the whole world." Then we wait on Him for a while, and listen to what He Has to say to us. When you tithe like that, the joy is indescribable. You begin to understand why God said to the stingy priests in (Malachi 3:10): "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and prove me now herewith, saith THE LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a BLESSING, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
