THE ROYAL LAW OF THE KINGDOM ! According to that passage, there are two ways to think. About your enemies. We will either love them or hate them. We will either do good to them or try to retaliate against them. So, we must decide which we will choose. We can't be wishy-washy about it. We can't just get up in the morning and say, "Well, I'll try my best to be nice to everyone today." We won't make it until noon with that kind of attitude. We'll be in a fuss with someone in traffic before we get to work. What we must do is make a firm commitment to walk in love no matter what because that's God's command. Backing up that commitment, must be the assurance that God is our source, provider and protector. He is our BLESSER, and His BLRSSING will turn every situation to our good :Once we confess what the Word of God has promised. Once we set our faith firmly on the fact that THE BLESSING has come on us through Christ Jesus and he is our source, it won't make any difference to us what our enemies do. When they say something mean or come against us in some way, we will refuse to retaliate because we'll be ever aware of the fact that THE BLESSING is more important than revenge. We'll say to ourselves and to the situation, "no weapon formed against shall prosper", "they can't hurt me unless I am willing to let go of THE BLESSING, and I'm not going to do that. I'm going to keep the command of love. I'm not going to get in the cursing business with them. I'm just going to rest in the fact that what God has BLESSED, none can curse ! When you take that attitude, you begin to realize it's no big deal, the thief comes to kill , steal , or destroy.. THE BLESSING will replace whatever he steals. What's more, in the eyes of God, the thief is of far greater value than coats and goods. God has His heart set on that thief. He loves him and wants to save him, but He has no connection with him. That's why it's so vital to God that you love him or her. You're God's connection to him or her ! You're not seeing things from their perspective if you're thinking, How do I protect what I have ? If they steal something from me, I'll hire a good lawyer, sue him or her and get it back. God says you are His connection to the person who's been talking ugly about you. You're His connection to man are woman. You're His connection to those people who've been trying to pick a fight with you and get you into strife.
