THE LORD AND HIGH PRIEST OF THE BLESSING ! He equips us to do it in the power of His might THE HOLY SPIRIT, making available to us His own armor----His war clothes----to protect us. He also provided HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD and prayer so we could strengthen and build ourselves up to the point that instead of His armor hanging on us like an oversized suit, we fill out the uniform. He did it all for us because He expect us to stand in faith on His Lordship and put the devil under our feet where he belongs ! "But Brother Lewis, the devil isn't really my problem. It's my employer who's given me fits. It's my mother-in-law and my mean neighbor across the street and all those gossips down at what is called the church who are messing up my life." It seems that way sometimes, but according to the Bible, our problem is not with flesh and blood. People are not our enemy. Sure, they do ugly, evil things but that's because the devil is using them. When you do not know who you are in Christ Jesus, he will operate through you as well ! He is operating through them, trying to do us harm. When we recognize the devil as the source of our trouble, we can deal with him properly. We can't cast him out of someone who doesn't want him cast out Are you can cast out a demonic entity out of a person that doesn't think that they are oppressed or possessed, you and I do not have power over the will of people. But we can take authority over the demonic spirits working behind the scenes and stop them from bothering us and our families. It doesn't matter whom they are possessing, those spirits have no authority over us. We are children of God and joint heirs with Jesus. We are kings and lords. So when we resist the devil, he has to flee. "But I resisted him and he didn't leave !" To believe that statement, I'd have to conclude that the WORD of God recorded in (James 4:7) is a lie, because it's perfectly clear about that. It says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." When your stand against the devil seems to be unsuccessful, instead of claiming THE WORD didn't work, ask God where you're missing it. That's what I do. I said, "Lord, there's something here I didn't understand. I need to know what's going on. I know Your WORD is truth, so the problem must be with me. I am willing to make any corrections necessary in my conduct, attitude or thinking. So, show me what's wrong." Every time I've ask God to do that, He's given me the wisdom I need, liberally, without criticizing me for missing it. If you'll ask Him in faith, He'll do the same for you. God The Father and the Son As Well As the Holy Spirit responds to faith. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen !He said, many of you are reading your Bible; but many of you are not speaking the HOLY WRITTEN WORD TO unclean spirits. Many of you are not following the example that Jesus gave in (Matthew 4: 4 through 11)How do you resist the devil, you're not fighting with flesh and blood: he gives us his armor tells us to put it on, then tells us that the Word of God is the sword of the Spirit I suggest that you put HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD in your mouth and speak to your mountains.
