Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well adjusted to your culture that you fit into it with out even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You will be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immunity, God brings the best out of you, develops well formed maturity in you." The Message Bible. The Church World as a whole, have conformed to the image of the world and not after the image of God. Many have put on a outward show: that is an outward performance of what is supposed to be Christianity. But the Scripture says it's Christ in you who is the hope of glory. "To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." (Colossians 1:27). To them who ? The born-again believer, God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you the hope of glory. It didn't say Christ on the outside of you; that's was going on in what is called church people are trying to conform to Christ from an outward standpoint and not a inward standpoint. You are even me can play the part of what is called Christian; and even go to church, but the devil don't mind you going to church long as you don't get your mind renewed with the Word of God. In other words as long as you don't find out who you are in Christ Jesus ! I said the worst kind of bondage is spiritual bondage. Hosea said, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected not, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children." (Hosea 4:6). God's Word is the perfect law of liberty: your tradition that is the tradition of men has made the word of God of not effect in your life. In other words, The Word of God Has No Power in your life because of your traditions. "And the Pharisees and scribes Asking Jesus, why do your disciples not order there way of living according to the tradition handed down by the forefathers [to be observed], but eat with hands unwashed and ceremonially not purified ? But He said to them, Exceellently and truly [so that there will be no room for blame] did Isaiah prophesy of you, the pretenders and hypocrites, as it stands written: These people [constantly] honor Me with their lips, but their hearts hold off and are far distant from Me. In vain (fruitlessly and without profit) do they worship Me, ordering and teaching [to be obeyed] as doctrines the commandments and precepts of men. You disregard and give up and asked to depart from you the commandment (words) of God and cling to the tradition of men [keeping it carefully and faithfully]. And He [Jesus] said to them, You have a fine way of rejecting [thus twisting and nullifying and doing away with the commandment [Words] of God in order to keep your tradition (your on human regulation) ! (Mark 7:5 through 9). These particular Scriptures is dealing with the religious people concerning purification: watching hands, honoring father and mother, and he went on to say these religious people do honor me with their lips but their hearts hold off the doctrines of Jesus Christ which is to be obeyed. So he's not talking about the 10 Commandments, he said they disregard the teachings of Jesus for doctrine because they honor the tradition that are being taught for doctrine. Therefore twisting and making of not affect and doing away with the words of God in order to keep your tradition; you're on human reasoning !
