THE KINGDOM OF GOD IN YOU ! "And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation, Neither shall they say, Lo here ! Or, lo there ! For, behold the kingdom of God is in the midst of you." "The Kingdom of God is within you" is the key phrase in (Luke 17:21) which features the idea of nonviolence. Jesus said, "for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you" in response to the Pharisees asking the question when the kingdom of God will come. The Word Christ, is not Jesus last name: it means The Anointing or The Anointed One ! The kingdom of God is a righteous government. And when the Pharisee demanded Jesus when the kingdom should come, he was not telling them that the kingdom of God is within them, because the kingdom of God cannot dwell in someone that is self righteous. You must be born again or anew. Many religious people that perhaps attend church is those who think that because they attend a religious establishment that they are saved. When in fact they still have the nature of Satan. All men and women came upon the that nature in this world, that's why many people cannot seem to get away from the world or the things that are in the world. Because they have not been born Anew or born again ! They have no power over the flesh, the devil, or their self. Look at what John recorded in His Gospel. "There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; the same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered, and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Now in the message Bible: Jesus said, "you're absolutely right. Take it from me: unless a person is born from above, it not possible to see what I'm pointing to to God's kingdom." "How can anyone," said Nicodemus, "be born who has already been born and grown up ? You can't reenter your mother's womb and be born again. What are you saying with this born from above talk ? Jesus said, "you're not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation----the wind hovering over the water creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life----it's not possible to enter God's kingdom. When you look at a baby, it's just that: a baby you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can't see and touch----the Spirit--- and become a living spirit. So don't be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be born from above----out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it's headed next. That's the way it is with everyone born from above by the wind of God, the Spirit of God." Nicodemus asked, "what do you mean by this ? How does this happen ? Jesus said, "you're a respected teacher of Israel and you don't know these basics ? Listen carefully. I'm speaking sober truth to you. I speak only what I know by experience; I get a witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. That is nothing secondhand it here, no heresy. Yet instead of facing the evidence and accepting it, you procrastinate with questions. If I tell you things that are playing as the hand before your face and you don't believe me, what use is that in telling you of things you can't see, the things of God ? No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that presence, the son of man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to say and then believe, it is necessary for the start of man to be lifted up--- and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life. "This is how much God loved the world: he gave his son, his one and only son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God did go to all the trouble of sending his son merely to point and accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquainted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it." The Kingdom of God is Christ in you !
