THE HUMAN SPIRIT SEARCHES THE DEEP THINGS OF GOD ! In (1 Corinthians 2:10), both uses of the word Spirit are capitalized. The first part of the verse is, "But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit. . . This is referring to the Holy Spirit. But where it says, . . . For the spirit searches all things, yea the deep things of God, that is not referring to the Holy Spirit, that refers to the human spirit --- your spirit. Proverbs says it this way: "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." (Proverbs 20:27). The human spirit is the light bulb that God uses to enlighten you and me. God's Spirit beareth witness with your spirit. God's spirit bears witness with you who are a born again or re-created spirit and enlightens you ! For the spirit searches all things, yet he the deep things of God. I believe the apostle Paul is referring here to the human spirit, for the Holy Spirit does not need to search the things of God. The Holy Spirit already knows the things of God. It's the human spirit that searches the things of God. When your body is a sleep, the seeds you have planted in the heart or soil which is the human spirit or producing. Now, whether the seed is corruptible seed, it is producing. Whether it is the incorruptible seed of the word of God, it is producing. And you don't really know how. All you did was sow them, and go to bed and get up. "Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God; even the mystery which had been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory: whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus: whereunto I also labor, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily." (Colossians 1:25- through 29).
